Senior Physiotherapist + Women’s Health Physiotherapist
Deirdre is an Irish Physiotherapist with extensive experience in all areas of musculoskeletal physiotherapy, treating all types of patients of all ages, including pre and post surgical rehabilitation, acute and chronic presentations of pain and injury, sports injury and postural mis alignment.
Deirdre graduated with first class honours in The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and further sought qualifications in modern acupuncture and Pilates.
Deirdre draws upon her solid knowledge, extensive experience and manual therapy skills to consistently achieve her patients optimal recovery. An holistic and systematic approach is taken to address the underlying cause of symptoms as well as effectively resolving the presenting symptoms.
Deirdre has a special interest in managing women during the pregnancy and post-natal period. She has a deep understanding of pelvic mechanics and its relationship to core stability and function. Deirdre loves to help women return to sport and exercise after having a baby.
Deirdre has worked as a physiotherapist with the international Swedish ladies hockey team at European tournaments.
Complementing this sports physiotherapy experience, Deirdre is an experienced pilates instructor of all level who enjoys the benefits of teaching in very small classes, allowing highly focused attention utilising the studio equipment.
Deirdre has a particular interest in low back pain, sporting injuries and women’s health.
